My 2005 Dodge Neon SXT won't let me rev my engine above 4000rpms in park or netural. How shall I take care of this to incread to about 5500?

 

1st: you cant increase it.
2nd: you dont want to.Their is no need to rev the engine that haigh when parked. its not to good for it!!

 

Why would you want to go to 5k in park?

The ATX rev limiter is set at 4k because when you rev higher then that you risk causing serious damage (if not destroying) your transmission because there is no load on the tranny. The only way to get around this is to install MS'n'S, which is what SpikeyMikey is referring to...
