i was having trouble deciding between the stg3 or agp 50 trim. i think i made a good choice.

it doesnt get hot enough to do that, and ive never heard that anyway. i never had a problem. go with the agp lol

A aem or k&n your just paying for the name a ebay intake is just as nice as those brands if you use a K&N filter anyways . Like mickey said its all the filter any intake will do the same job . Ive had my ebay intake for 3 yrs and still works awesome for me.
