I got one in the garage that I wanted to put in. There's a bracket near the passenger side mount that's in the way. This is a picture of someone else's engine bay. Does anyone know what I can do short of cutting the a notch out of the bracket?

never noticed that bracket... gonna have to pop the hood later.

I think that bracket is holding the cruise control servo...but I've never heard of it getting in the way of any of the aftermarket strut bars.

 

little off topic.... custom CAI???

 

dont no wut to do with the bracket but a lil tip. when u install strut bars u have to havethe the car hoisted or atleast the front wheels off the ground. something to do with the flex of chassis,if u don't the strut bar wont be as effective.

 

The bracket is holding a small silver cylinder. I'm not sure what it's used for.

As for the CAI, it's not my car. Looks custom though. Takes air from the fender and from the engine bay.

And to add to EK you will need to have your camber checked at an alighnment shop after or you may (or may not) ruin your tires. they might bald faster on the outer edges.

 

Your not changing your camber when you install a tower strut bar...
