They can hook it up and get the software information, then if there is a newer version they will load it up...but you'll still be paying probably $50 just to find out...

my car is a MTX, so i really dont have to worry about the 1st to second gear lag :P

my car shifts as fast as i do, lol

Default Programming PCM

Yet another dead thread brought back from the dead!

I was looking for scantools and datalogging for this car because I almost feel naked without it. This one here says that you can write codes and load them onto the PCM. This one is even installed in a Neon. Has anybody here used this before? A friend of mine had one but knew nothing about it other than using it as an econometer.

I'd mainly like to lean out the fuel down low and advance the timing a bit; allowing for use of higher octane fuel.

No, that is a gauge than scans different parameters. You can write codes into the gauge to monitor other parameters that don't come on it. NGC would override anything anyways. If you want to tune your car - MegaSquirt.

I was reading some TSB's. Probably the RPM sag while the A/C is on.
