ok i got a new header and it came with the pipe that replaces the cat well it has the 02 fitting but it obviously isnt a cat and so my engine light comes on....my buddy said its because its not producing enough back pressure....... help?

go to your local checkers or auto zone and look in the "help" section for a spark plug defouler.
What the ECU is looking for is a change in o2 from the upstream to the downstream. You screw the defouler into the bung, then the o2 into the defouler. This will take the o2 sensor out of the direct stream of the exhaust send the ECU a lower reading.
