they are okay...not bad...but not great..i would say good for the price just like audiobahn good for the price

+1 i have kicker comps vr and they are da best i had so far and i went through 5 sets of subs before

MTX and Kicker always did me okay. But if you want to spend a few extra bucks (not much more though) get some JL Audios... you can pound your car apart with those, and they sound CLEAN CLEAN. My only advice about the JL Audios though is to buy a much lesser-rated power sub than your amp is...

In other words, if you have a true 400-watt RMS amp, then don't bother with more than two 12-W0 subs (only rated at 125 watts RMS, but believe me they will take all of that amp and want more). I had a 500/1 JL Audio amp driving four 12-W0's in my truck one time, and those things cracked pavement. If you get really lucky you can find brand new 12-W0's for around $63 I think.

Just my 2 cents...

Could have gotten a single Alpine Type-R for that price and made your own box for cheaper. And it would have probably sounded better and been louder.
