Default no bus error code

recently I was driving home and noticed my speedometer was jumping between zero and 120 mph, my temp gauge pegged as high as it could along with my fuel gauge and my tach went completely around and is now stuck on the bottom side of the pin.
when I turned the car off the red light came on and the odometer said "No Bus"
Im just curious if anyone has ever had this happen and what I could do to fix it. Im looking for an inexpensive fix because its an 02 neon with 165,000 miles on it so even though I would love to put a million miles on it because it runs like a top unfortunately I know it wont last that long.

thanks,

Jeremy
