Default Exhaust Dilemma

Ok heres the deal, I own a 2005 Neon SXT, the only things I have done to it is a new deck (of course) and a K & N cold air intake. Now I want exhaust (CAT back), but the problem is no site has sound clip previews. I absolutely hate that tin can sound, I want it to sound as stock as possible. I realize its going to change the sound a bit, but I want to keep it as stock as I can while still gaining performance. I would like to make my car a sleeper type, I dont like the sound of the Civics driving around, ewwe, any tips on which ones are good? I am expecting to pay a bit, so money isnt really an issue here, I just dont want that dumb sound but I still want performance. Thank you.

all i think you could do is get a good exhaust system like mangaflow and get it with the resonator. if thats to loud im sure you can find some silencers for it

You want a stock sounding exhaust but a nice lookin one also . I would go with an r/t dual exhaust its pretty boring meaning quiet and looks nice.

i agree the R/T exhaust would be the closest thing to stock that won't be too extreme. not sure bout the boring part but ya. you could also go with the magnaflow or vibrant like Biged said, i have the magnaflow 15801(comes with a resonator)and its pretty tame until you get on it. sounds great though. as for the fart can, i agree with you man those can get ANNNOYYYINNNG lol i used to have one also, so i got the magnaflow and its great. as for performance, its not reallyan extremedifference with whichever you go with, but it is better flowing than stock. the r/t exhaust might be a lil hard to find. as for clips i have some of mine, and you can use the search option on here and will come up with more set-ups (my setup) http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...1-697b61263358

i would say the R/T exhaust is ok for the dual outlet and sounding stock but for the price you will pay for a new one. wouldnt want a used one cause it will be rusted. you could get your self a nice stainless steel Catback that at idel it sounds really mellow and doesnt get louder untill you really get on it

I have the Magnaflow 15801. Deep sounding but really sounds good and I still have stock intake.

It does suck that there aren't many clips out there. U can't go wrong with the Borla, Magnaflow, or Thermal exhaust. They aren't too loud but they'll give a nice agressive sound. If they are too loud then put a resonator on it.
