I think he means that the fuel guage needle is fluctuating... as in moving all around or 'spazing' out

 

EDIT: my dad has the same prob in his chrystler seebring... it's probably a bad fuel tank sensor at mid range

 

My fuel gas needle is not reading accurately. How can i fix this?

It keeps fluctuating and is ALWAYS changing. It's never reading right...

i hear this is common with neons. every time i start the car the fuel needle changes way too much to be correct...

 

are you on a hill? have you touched th fuel pump recently? have you touched anything on the fuel side recently?

 

NOTHIGN whatsoever. i have a couple evap leaks. how do i go about fixing that?

i will fill up and see what i get to a complete tank
