Ok, i was trying simply to take my wheel off when all of a sudden one of the bolts snapped and broke clean off.



What do i need to replace and where can i get it?

Also is it safe to drive with 4 outta 5 nuts in place until i can get the part?

 

Yes it is. Because that is EXACTLY what happened to me a week ago. A tire shop wanted 35 bucks to fix it...said they had to take off the caliper and all this other BS.

I will get it fixed eventually but until then i'm only on 4 lugs myself...

 

i went to autozone and got the part i need to fix it. (wheel stud). problem is i cant get the freakin rotor off!!!!!!

 

the rotor comes right off...

 

ok problem fixed with a $2-3 wheel stud fom advance autoparts

 

yeah it did after a little beating with a hammer

 

well da studs are behind da rotor so u need to get past da caliper before u can start.

 

sigh...i'll do it when i replace my rotors cuz my hand is still ****ed up[&:]

i hate lining up that rotor with the strut. You HAVE to take the rotor off right?

 

yeap

 

it's no big deal, you just take off the caliper and the rotor should come right off, and while you are at it, you can machine your rotors and replace the pads if you feel like it.
