i was wondering whats the best oil for our car i saw one oil improves gas milage
but i want somthing thats really good and then i was ganna subsitute a quart with lucas oil and is there something for my my mtx tranny i kinda need a response quick i need this oil change asap

 

[sm=icon_rtfm.gif] for one but just in case you dont have one the best oil to put in our cars is 5w-30 full synthetic or 10w-30 full synthetic, either one is pretty good most of the guys on here use 5w-30 full synth. and as for the mtx fluid i guess you are talking about, ummm im not really sure what brand or anything but you could always call up a dodge dealer and ask them, but i bet they will say something about mopar mtx fluid or something of that sort..... well hope that helps and its not usually good to mix two different type of oils just so you know

i want performence becuase i am not mature enough to drive correct all the time so the majority of the time i drive like a duesch bag not wreckless

Best brand eh? I don't know if there is a "best" one. It depends on who you ask.

 

wat u guys think of Royal purple? i been thinkin of using it since my car is due up for an oil change. sorry for da thread jack neon_newbe

 

I have heard mixed comments about it. However I don't really have any data to really back that up. I would just google search for reviews of it or something.

 

im gettin royal purple for my next oil change seen it compared to other brands and it came at second best or somethin seems its really good but some people around here sayin that some others had problems with RP never really explained what kind or whatever and never happned to them so theyr just rumors

Penzoil Platinum 5W-30

 

If you really want the low down on best brand then you need to spend so time (lot of time) over on the BITOG (Bob Is The Oil Guy) website and chose what you feel is the best. For a non raced daily driver in which you go longer drain intervals I like AMSOIL. Their new EaO filters ROCK!!!

Less than that Pennzoil Platinum shows to do VERY well. Regular Mobil 1 is coming back in line in line with its old numbers as of late.

But really if you are only going to go 3K then Dino will do.

Just be nice and get yourself an EaO oil filter and use the oil you like best. If Dino 3-5K, regular synthetic 5-7.5K, Amsoil is good past 10K.

I am on 10K Amsoil changes myself right now.
