****, you better get their insurance to pay for it. Granted, I don't think you need to have insurance to drive one, but I'd be getting money out of them one way or another.

The place where Im buying my rims and tires from will do it for free if I dont go with an airride. I just really want my sxt really wild for 2008 shows since I might be going to some hin shows with her if I build her up the way I want . Ive seen some places charge 100 to 50 bucks to install blues and springs.

its something like 70 dollars an hour over here, but i did the front on my own with a friend of mine, then took it to his dad's shop to get the rear on. i only paid 100 for the rear, but like i said probablycuz his dad hooked me up a lil lol. \

as for your springs compressing, i have read from a couple of threads that it takes a lil while for the spring to set in, thus probably making the drop slightly lower.

hey 2003SXTneon, don't let our comments spook you man... i mean it might be a bitch to do but if you're not in a hurry like I am (my only car) then it'll be a fun project. Also I learn a lot about the struts by doing it myself so i vote doing it yourself though

i just went off the directions online and they were pretty good. i wouldn't suggest doing it on your own, if you have a friend it will be so much easier. i didn't have the proper tools so it was a PITA, I personally wouldn't do it again, but i say go for it as well it WILL save you money, and like he said, you do learn which is always good.

Once you guys do struts a few times the completion time will go way down, the first time I did mine I think it took five-six hours, and now I can do all four in under two (both times by myself). Just take your time and it shouldnt be hard as long as you have the proper tools, or the proper stand-in tools.

As for the drop "increasing" since you've had the springs installed, the springs will settle just like anything else (breaking in the springs so to speak). But once they are settled thats as far as they go...it shouldnt take long for them to be totally settled.

hey, yeah, having a friend would help a lot... I did it by myself and i had to use the hydraulic jack to hold the strut up while i align the strut to the bracket of the axle, it took me about two days from about 1pm to 7pm... but then like most people i didn't have the right tools so i ended up spending lots of time running around auto stores finding the right size tools... which probably make up about 3 to 4 hours. First strut took me the longest... and the rest was much faster... I used the instruction online... it wasn't too complicated... it just takes time.
