Fuel Injector Cleaners?
Did as much searching as I could on the subject, and learned that it WOULD be better for me to just use a fuel system cleaner around 30k miles. I am now at 36k, and looking into using a fuel system cleaner. Just wondering if there is any brand or what kind I should look for to put in my 05 Neon sxt. Couldnt find any specific brands you would all use, so this is why Im postin this. Thanks all
are you looking to add a bottle to the gas tank? i use any brand thats on sale.. or do you want it done by a pro? my bud is a mech and he did mine once. let me tell you, the pro version is WAY better. they hook a machine to your fuel delivery system and run the chems through it that way.
The official Mopar fuel injector was supposedly picked after a lot of testing on whether it cleaned dealer-removed Chrysler fuel injectors. See Mr P Body's post several down at this weblink:

I have tested many fuel injector cleaners and think these are better than average:
Yamaha Ring Free
Jectron (sold at BMW, Porsche and VW dealers)
Kleen (at NAPA stores)
Techron Concentrate Plus (get the 'Plus' not the cheaper)
Gummout "Regane" (clear bottle with honey colored fluid)

no need to have them cleaned. you can throw a bottle of cleaner if you want, but you can just fill up your tank with premium once. gas today has solvents that clean the injectors

I used Chevron with techron crap a few weeks ago, I got it cheap though since I work at Napa. Cuz that crap is like $9-10 dollars.

Well, I usualy run a good quality gas.
Very rarely Ill end up getting something from RaceTrak or somewhere like that.
But for the most part, I use Shell, mobile, Chevron or Tex.. All those have some kind of cleaners in them these days...
