srt muffler without srt midpipe or neons without resonator or whatever.... yep that thing is loud, i installed the midpipe from the srts and it gave a really nice tonedown, freakin cops nowdays just pullin u over and givin u tickets for whatever, seems liek they got some kind contest goin one whoever cop gives out the most tickets gets somethin... :-P stepdad got pullover cuz they recently bough a new truck but did a platewhever transfered from the old truck, supposedly the license plate didnt match with the vin number on the new truck but they had a paper where they said it was a tranfered from an older truck or some **** liek that the whole deal is that they took the license plate with em so the truck couldnt move from there (orlando, and they were heading home to tampa, about 80miles away)..... like since when do cops have the right to remove ur license plate and take it with them??... dude i think i typed tomuch ohh well

 

Yeah, I live in NJ too, Kal. Back in june, a cop pulled me over ONLY because I didnt have my front license plate on, I had the rear one on. Wasnt speeding, or making any kind of illegal turns, moves, etc... Dumb *** state trooper just felt like handing out a stupid ticket I guess.

 

cops love to bust anyone under 30. i am the prime example. i drive fast... EVERYWHERE. im always 20 over the limit. ive always driven like this. untill the age of about 30, i was getting tickets all the time, but once i was over 30, i can just buzz right by a cop and not get pulled over. im 38 now and have not had a ticket in 8 years. just last year, i went by a cop, who was pointing his radar out the window right at me, 95 MPH in a 55. i looked right at him and he smiled and gave me a thumbs up out the window. thought i was gettin it, but he never even pulled out. WHY? cuz im not a punk kid with a loud pipe.

 

You don't have a resonator or muffler on at all? That is LOUD as hell!!!

 

HAHAHAHAHA nice stories and advice and you all have good points. I like the manufactured OEM parts deal, and I hope he doesnt have a reading, even so, it wasnt that loud accelerating from 30 to 45 then 45 to 50. im sure i will win

good luck, but they might pull the "its not meant to be on YOUR model car" bs, i have had that happen to a friend. As i said i think you could get it dismissed. wherever you live might have the same codes i have as far as it being past a certain decibel not sure how they possibly can check that i guess they have some sort of magical ear lol. and l_pillon pretty much everything is "manufactured" i think you were looking for "original equipment"

Wow no warning tickets . I got 3 warning tickets before I had to get a glasspack on my srt exhaust. Now no more trouble from any cops for the exhaust. Only illegal mod I have under her is my red led neon kit.

 

you shoulda tapped on those brakes and let him bang you in the *** and then oh sorry sir i was changing lanes.... but you have to wait till his lights go on so the camera is on so he cant say that your brake lights are out... and all you have to do for the muffler thing is present the judge with picture of other neons with the SRT exhaust and tell him that that exhaust was an option for neons and yours just so happens to have it, or you can just take the noise level of it and if its under like 95dbs or w/e you will be perfectly fine b/c thats the limit i think... but sorry bro... i got pulled over for a loud muffler and i just told the guy it was the stock exhaust... hahaha long story but he was like ok w/e see ya... so i got lucky
