First ticket was for a "noisy muffler" (srt /w no glasspack) ammounts to $47 in NJ. I have NOT recieved a warning prior to this.

the other ticket was "failure to keep right" - $81. I was passing other cars going 53mph in a 50 mph zone when he said I had room to move over. he never signaled me to warn me to move over, he just turned on his lights and pulled me over. F---ing pigs! I'm fighting these! and my dad was in the car with me and he's just as pissed. how about that? plus! I could see his headlights UNDER my spoiler meaning he was tailgatting me in a 50MPH zone going that speed. GAH!

 

dude that sucks for the noisy (at least in florida) im pretty sure they have to have a reading of exactly how loud it is cant just say its too loud. so you should have no prob fighting that one.

 

I don't see how you couldn't see the srt rear ticket coming. That thing sounds extremely loud and annoying without some type of resonator...

 

actually when you're crusing at 50 it's not that loud. it has a nice mellow tone to it... and yeah, i probably had it comming but still? why not just a warning or something? it was BS

 

i used to get at least one ticket a month and have never received a warninglol, i took em to a lawyer to fight them and almost all of them have gotten dismissed 3 more to go lol. I also got one for a loud exhaust, i would say put a glasspack on it, it will tame it down, make it sound a lot better, AND should be ok in the legal department. I live in Texas so the traffic laws here are pretty damn tough...they don't have to give you a warning at all, if you have done something or have something illegal on your car, they can just pull you over and hand you a ticket. Not sure about there, but here there actually is a rule as to how many decibels (how loud) the exhaust can be.....

 

say you got your exhaust from auto zone or get a glass pack and fight the ticket, my friend just won his for his S10... youll win !

 

good luck..i find it hard to believe u can get a ticket over a part that is manufactured for a specific vehicle...even tho its for an srt it still bolts on for the neon

 

bcuz the SRT and the Neon are pretty much two different cars and if it was meant fo the neon to have it they would've put it on lol think of the ricey civics that jus throw on a big as muffler with no back pressure louda$$ f*** little power....not sayin yours doesn't cuz thats a nice piece but you get me...

 

its a manufactured part...its not like he made the exhaust himself...whether u like the sound or not its not the point..all im sayin is that i dont see the ticket sticking
