Default What does this do for performance?

I have a 2005 Neon SXT
Have a guy wanting to give me a 3 inch chrome pipe replacing oem intake manifold , as well as a k&n air filter to install, remove the resonator, and put in a spiralmaster. I know that the air filter will help, but what about the other stuff?

I'm not understanding the " 3 inch chrome pipe replacing the intake manifold" part...and you exhaust does not have any resonators, only a muffler, and removing that will only make the exhaust incredibly annoying and add zero performance at all.

This guy had crashed up his neon, and offered me the parts. Apparently, right before the throttle body, there is a small tube running from the air intake box, and he said I would gain performance by replacing the stock rubber tube with the chrome one. The resonator box does not refer to the exhaust, but the intake resonator, apparently located somewhere in the fd side wheel well. I am not 100% understanding of this method either, as my Neon is currently stock... Any ideas?

I figured that, but he referred to the chrome piece as the intake pipe, and I assumed that to be different from a CAI. He said that he had that, and a k&n air filter, then he recommended removing the intake resonator... And of course I am all for cheap hp increases... And as far as the spiralmax thingy, I have found mixed reactions about that on google, some good, some bad... So I wasn't too sure about that either... If he was refferring to a CAI, then I don't understand why he would list it off as seperate from the air filter, why not just say CAI?

It is a straight pipe... But I guess it probably is a CAI, he just described it to me in a weird way... What about the spiral max thingy? And how do I find the intake resonator?
