Default guages died

Hope I am in the right generation here. My friend has a 2002 Neon and all of his guages quit working and dash lights as well. We checked and changed all fuses related or not and it did nothing. Please help. he is a broke college student and I am tryign to help him out.

He may need a new tachometer. U can get a good price on a used one at a junk yard or on ebay.

Just pull the whole guage cluster and replace from a junk yard unit?

yep, ebay would be cheaper though. make sure that you get one at least close to the mileage he had before, whatever cluster mileage you buy, it will show up, not the actual mileage on the car

hmmm.... I have a 02 neon too but my guages works for a while than they stop working...but if I unplug the battery cable and re-plug it back on the battery the gauges works fine....maybe their might be something with the 02 neons.....

Hold the trip button and put the key in the on position. The gauges will all reset.

try this before you pull it out and try a new cluster and have it not work.
