My 2000 neon has a rust hole in the stock muff. it has 100k on it. up to lastmonth when i bought a 05 stx it was my daily driver. now my stx will be my daily and im looking at some mods for the 2000.

i need to replace the muff, so i am looking for a new one with performance sound.

i dont want a high pitched ricer sound to it at all, and i will be pissed if thats what i end up with, and i will take it off and try another one if thats what happens.

Can anyone tell me what muff i should get? i will replace all the pipe from the cat back, but i do not want duals. I am not looking for cheap, but i dont want to spend more than $100 for the muff itself.

idk if u'll find a cat-back exhaust for under a $100 if thats what you are looking for. If ur looking for just a muffler with tip I would suggest OBX or N1

 

id spend the extra and just get a full cat..... i got mine on its dual but sounds amazing ive seen a few cat backs that were single but prob over 100

 

and if u want a cat-back their are many good options such as borla, stillen, flowmaster, vibrant, pacesetter, apexi

 

just get a srt-4 rear section wit a glasspack

 

i just want a muffler.... but i want it too sound good, so if i have to i will cat back it. im willing to spend more.

obx is good i had one on my car and its a deep low pitch to it but doesn't sound like ur cars bogging out

 

what would it sound like if i put a regular glass pack on? the bullet type.

 

get a performance muffler from pepboys, they are cheaper
