well then if i were you i'd paint the whole think with HIGH TEMP ENGINE PAINT you can get it at autozone or the like... im not sure if you need a clear coat or if they even make a high temp clear coat but yea... idk there is a how-to on www.2gn.org about painting stuff i think..........
i just used engine enamal, ceramic, good up to 500 degrees and it bubbled and spotted and all, i had to sand it down and take it all off, it pissed me off... would krylon **** work, made for plastic
I used engine paint and it didn't bubble on me, then again I only painted the 2.0L 16 valve and the stripes, I painted my washer fluid cap with the same stuff and its fine as well. Did you left it dry all the way before driving?
lol, when I was painting it got these little spots and dimples, it really pissed me off, I let it dry and tried it again and same thing in the same spots, it's like the paint didnt want to stick at all.
