Default Air Intake Silencer

I have read some posts that removing the Air Intake Silencer will give you better throttle response.

Where exactly is the silencer and how do you remove it?

Thanks

Yep. Just jack up your car. Remove the left front wheel. There should be a few clips or screws holding the splash guard on (the plastic covering). Pull it back and there will be a twisted plastic tube. It should only be held on by a couple bolts. It's easy to remove and doesn't take long. It will give better air flow and make it sound a bit louder.
