Default New Neon (read)

Hello, Im new to this forum and new to driving neons.

I just purchased a 2004 Dodge Sx 2.0(neon) I will be recieving the car on tuesday, and Wondering if there is anything i need to beware of. Possible malfunctions or anything i need to know.

on a different note, im looking for cheap performance upgrades what do you suggest?

when I get it home I will post some pictures and let you all see it.

One thing I am definately looking to do is to buy a stock model tail fin.

well you cant get huge perfeormance unless you spend lots of money our neons dont unleash huge power from small upgrades but a cold air intake and new exhuast will def give you better response and a little more power.... is it a man or auto?

well, if your looking for a cheap hobby... a car hobby is definately not one of them. You will easily spend a couple hundred dollars for a "cheap" upgrade. Even going through ebay parts, you still end up spending a lot of money (in the long run).

Now.. if you want a "stock fin" aka a spoiler... you can look on dodgeparts.com or go to your local dealership. Dodgeparts.com will give you a decent price for a new, painted, wing. If the dealership tries to jerk you around, bring a print-out. If worse comes to worse, buy it online.

A nice set of new loweringssprings, struts, window tints, taking off all the badges on the tailgate, the door moldings, and new rims even Srt rims. Will make yourcar look nice. Then as said cai an exhaust are cheap enough, then new intake mani, headers, throttle body stuff like that gets pricey though.

As far as cosmetic things go Dodge doesnt do a very good job i.e Cheap plastic, plastic around outside of windows turn greyish/white.. BUT as far as reliablity its a great vehicle.. just cheap accesories
