Somebody tried to break into my car, God knows why, and messed up the locking mechanism so I can't unlock the driver's side door from the outside. Not only that but now my window doesn't roll up properly! Should I just take it to a dealership and have them fix it?

Actually I was 1st mine sxt was broken into at my house in a nice neiborhood in my driveway they broke my driverside window and took some stuff and than when I had my 1st gen here for one weekend they broke the same window and didnt take anything that was like 4 months later .I would see how much they would fix the damage for you 1st . Good luck and be lucky that nothing was taken. Mine was the weekend before Christmas in my sxt.

 

There was nothing worth stealing, i've learned my lesson (last car got searched 5 times in one year cuz my locks didn't work) I just had AAA send over a glass repairman and its all fixed now. Just need to tint it tomorrow i think

 

not too sure about the lock, but if you're not under warrenty then for the power window i'll say take the door panel to look at it... might be a disconnection of some wires and stuff.

 

get bestbuy to fix it


when i took in my car to get my stereo & speakers put in they some how fixed it
