WHAT PLUGS YOU HAVE IN YOUR NEON
: What type of spark plugs should I use and what gap?
A: Use either stock Champion or NGK Iridium and gap them to 0.035â€-0.040â€. The Neon’s waste spark ignition system sees neither benefit nor gain from Platinum or “Split-fire†plugs. In some cases, misfire and premature spark plug deterioration can result when Platinum plugs are used on the 2.0L SOHC engine.

Ive had platinum plugs in my sxt for 3yrs now and never had one problem with 96 thousand miles on here now with almost and whole new engine she still runs just like new. Im running autolite platinum for my plugs and msd top of the line wires.
ive had all sorts of different plugs in all my vehicles. i never noticed a huge difference between the high buck ones to the champs. the only NGK's i use are in my 4 wheeler and chainsaw. Ive had a boat with a Mercruiser inboard and i used champs in that too. i even use champs in my John Deere's.
I have the $15 set from autozone, I've had them for 6 months now and not a probelm.

I was the one with Autolite Double Platinum plugs and after pulling them with 30K they had SIGNIFICANT wear after that short interval and were missing ground strap Platinum buttons. YUCK. Back to Champion for me. RC9YC.
Yeah Yeah Champions are only good for Chryslers and Lawnmowers. Well it is a Chrysler. And runs great on them.
