Default NVLD (Natural Vacuum Leak Detector) Location on 2003 SXT

Just wondering if anyone knows the location of the Natural Vacuum Leak Detector on a 2003 Neon SXT. I'm getting a P0441 code, and have already replace the Purge Solenoid, and also the gas cap (just to be on the safe side). Has anybody else experienced the code....it's driving me insane.

Thanks!

I have heard that several people on here are experiencing this code/problem. It started out only coming on every few months, but it got worse.

first thing i would do is connect those wires...... then check your codes again. the NVLD is part of the EVAP system and its located in the rear, i believe its above the gas tank or next to it..

You may check the hoses coming off of the canister. There is one on there that seems to crack on the Neon's that will trip EVAP codes (if you are looking straight at it, the far left one). Just had it happen on mine. It is a dealer only part, but there are options if it happens to be it.

I've had p0440 and p0441 on and off for over a year... Just learned to ignore it, though it's kinda embarrassing when passengers ask about it.

To my knowledge it hasn't affected performance or anything.
Only worried for when I have to smog check.

I was told to replace the purge solenoid by a service manager, but it didn't change anything. Hoses look fine, kinda given up on it.

Some good direction would help
