Default questions...

This is my first post! i have a few questions i just recently installed an AEM CAI for my 02 neon sxt. I thought if i installed this, my gas mileage was going to improve but it doesnt seem this way it seems as if my car eats the gas! is it normal? i guess its because the way i drive ...
Also i was thinkin is because of the stock exhaust that i have i was thinkin to upgrade to a Borla exhaust is it worth it? would it fix the problem?

no mod to a car will ever inprove gas mileage even though they say it will. adding an exhaust and cai will indeed add power but not MPG.

its basically rule of thumb if you drive the car normal you will have the same MPG but once you got the car getting louder and sportier you will be on the gas more often and harder.

I will second what biged said. your gas milage will not go up, it will only go down due to flooring

Colder Air = Denser = More Fuel Needed...however it does make more power

CAI is not intended to increase MPG, that's marketing bull****.

ok im going to say that everyone is wrong so hahahahahahahahahhaha. it DOES increase gas milage because you have more power, therefore have to do less to go the same speed. you are using your for more to have the cool sound lol thats why your gas milage goes down

mpg depends totally on the driver. if a person puts a cai on the car it means they want to go faster and will tend to have a heavier foot and therefore decrease mpg
