Default MM question + 1

Ok, when I first put my MM inserts in it was great. Notice a big difference. When I would idle it would vibrate and the steering wheel would shake up and down...lots of fun! Now when I idle its like before. Maybe a little bit more vibration. Have they gone soft on me??

and for the + 1. Since I'm on the topic of wear and tear have this other question. When I first got this neon it seemed like it had more power. When I would shift from 1st to second the tires would squeel...it doesn't do that anymore. I know much clutch went all soft on me but it was kinda before that. Anyone know why it would stop? I got the car this past april so its been a little over 6 months.

it possibly could be the tires are worn down and more soft causing them to grip more not giving you the chirp

I noticed that I couldn't spin my tires even with the E-brake on with my old tires on, now i have new ones and i tried the other day and i didnt lite them up, but the sure did spin and I left some nice marks too.. (im an auto btw so torque is nonexistant. i have to use the e-brake to spin them)

also, are you sure it was the tires squeeling and not your clutch? and a worn clutch will rob some power from you. (correct me if I'm wrong, guys)

unless you beat the **** outta the car, i doubt 6 months would be enough to put that much W&T on the engine to where it wouldnt do that

did you check the tranny mount inserts?

my best bet is the tires

it probably is the tires. It definitely wasn't the clutch. When I would go from 1st to 2nd I would loose some traction and the steering wheel would wobble left to right for a second. Most of the time I drive this car like a granny so I don't know. I don't even know where the tranny mount is lol.

I don't know about MM insert break in time either. Seems like they lost their effect. But then last night it was kinda doing it again. So it probably is just a weather thing.

i noticed that too, when i first put my MMI in, the car vibrated more nothing extreme but somewhat noticeable, now it hardly vibrates at all, which is good for comfort, but i just installed them, have they gone to **** already?
