I want to custom paint my third brake light so it lights up saying "NEON", but i would like to know if it's legal, or if it would effect any possible insurance claims. By the way I am in Pa. If anyone knows about this, I would appreciate the advice. Thanks

 

im sure its legal. you still have red light showing through it, so you should be fine

 

Like Mike said, it should be legal as long as the light still shines through.

In NJ anything covering the tail or 3rd brake lights is illegal.... WTF I hate NJ
