sorry but i had to rant.

i belong to a few neon forums on myspace and these people are a bunch of ********. they know nothing about anything and think they are the ****. i had one guy telling me that coilovers, adjustable springs and lowering springs are all the same thing. i had other people saying that coilovers are crap and they give the worst ride as they are showing pics of ebays adjustable springs. then when i try to correct them i get this other *** saying that i dont know what im talking about and that he hates wanna be know it alls.

then i mentioned to another person im gonna get a caliber srt-4 and holy crap these people need to learn to read one guy says its a 300hp awd car next guy says its gonna be crap cause its a CVT. when in fact the car is going to have 285hp 265ftlb and a 6speed manual with crazy bad torque steer. (im still getting one im on the list already to test drive one)

Dont people read anything and research anything before they open there mouths??

does anyone know how much that car weighs? That will play a pretty big factor.

My opinion is this. If you are keeping these cars on the straight track dodge beats the 35,000 dollar(rough number) evo and STi.

this is how I look at it. To see which one is better I take the cheaper car and compare to the more expensive car. So we have a $22k car vs a $35k car. The $35k car has around 300hp and the $22k car has 250hp(I would mention torque but I don't know it so whatever lol). That means I have $13k to make my car faster than the 300hp car. So when you are finished builing the $22k car and the total amount you have spent on it equals the amount of the more expensive car. You see which is faster and...well then you find out what a good or bad decision you made. Understand?

however on the track you are kinda a sitting duck with dodges FWD cars lol.

 

3000lbs is the offical weight of the car. i just like the looks of the caliber and the size of it the HP is only a secondary liking

And if you want my opinion...I would still take the Evo or STI over a caliber any day. I could careless that they cost more because I HATE the way the caliber looks. Plus in stock form both the Evo and STI handle incredibly already and its not that difficult to make serious power with either one.

 

yea... im not a caliber fan either. But free-will lets people have different tastes.
