Of course announcements like this turn a blind eye to the reason said "problematic" threads have started in the first place.

I'm not starting ****, looking to get myself banned or instigating, but how long do you listen to someones reptitive crap? Take it up with an admin? And do what? Ultimately, what will be done? Nothing.

If there is enough attention to address the entire community, i'm sure a mod, much less an admin could take it upon themselves to handle the matter.

I like this forum a lot, don't get me wrong.

 

I completely understand Adionik. The problem isn't with mods or admins, but the people patrolling the forums.

It's our jobs, the communities job, to make sure that this forum runs smoothly.

A mod and admin can only do so much, and assisting them by biting your tongue on such "hate threads" is the best way.

Don't instigate stuff, bite your tongue and move on. Its called turning the other cheek...

Plus, fighting verbally is really pointless anyways. Get 2 12 gauges and send them in the woods. One will win.

 

That gets old FAST, and we HAVE been biting our tongues. Slowly but slowly it's just coming out.
I assume this site was never intended to be a retreat from the idiots in real life.




Besides, people need to really differenciate CALLING OUT SOMEONES LIES from BASHING.

there are other means to work out differences. PM's, IM's, keeping it off the boards are the mods and admins main concerns.

Honestly, disputes can be handled a crap load of ways aside from being slandered on a forum.

and it is true. Its all in the way you present and write your post that gives people different impressions on your statements.

Giving polite answers and corrections is better than a blatent "your wrong" or "haha your stupid to say that"

 

I don't think anyone has ever really said that...atleast not seriously. Those who might are people who know each other.

To newcomers, you cannot say we're not pretty damn polite. Granted we may not always know the answer but never calling them stupid.

I think you're taking this topic as a generalization, and that's exactly what it's not. This is about the Airwolf drama, and you're blowing it into something it's not....because I haven't seen anyone else conflict with another member outside of her.

 

i didnt mean to slander anyone or "callout anyone by my poll....... just trying to make it shown that we are all tired of something...... maby when the admins saw that 90% of the people here agreed with the poll before it was pulled they could have helped, i figured it would be quicker the each of us 1 by 1 PM'n the admins complaining. Would have saved alot of thier time.....

Airwolf, im not trying to "call you out", "bash on you", belittle you or slander you in anyway, we are all just tired of you saying your is the best, and thats the way it is period. Did you know i have an electric supercharger on my neon and according to the web site it says it gives me an extra 200hp...... but i lost my dyno sheet....... we dont want you to leave, we want you to get off the hole bashing thing, if you claim something ofcorse we are going to ask you to prove it, thats the way life is, but you never can prove it. Others on the other hand can prove it and have, so when you tell someone something is better then the other we will say well no it isnt and here is the proof.
That my friend is not "bashing" that is real life, not what some dude on a computer trying to sell his parts says.

In the thread where I've seen this happen, it seemed to me like someone just had to have the last word. The thread just drags on cuz nobody can get the last word. They were too stubborn to let things go. They completely ripped up that thread over nothing.

 

It is your job as members to question the integrity of the information posted on this site. I will not bite my tongue if I know damn well what was posted is nothing but BS or could jeopardize another member or his or her car.

There is a big difference between calling out someone about the information that’s posted and personal attacks. I called her a liar, which is a personal attack… If she didn’t like the facts I was posted prior then she should pull out her dyno sheet and prove me wrong. I’ve yet to see it, instead nothing but BS comments that have nothing to do with the point at hand.

As a community we need to put an end… god forbid the topic gets more technical and someone blows up their engine because of it. What if that is you… But as Kalevra would say… “Educate in PM’s” and what? keep the BS on the forum!?

I’m not gonna a let it happen on any forum that I am a member on or the 1500+ member forum I own and admin. DevilsReject can ban me if he wants, I will not let misinformation fly.
