the nascar engines can barely go over that and sometimes they still blow...
untill I see hard evidence I remain skeptical. yes it SOUNDS like it might have vtec. but what you say hardly seems likely at all. and you say it doesnt make much of a difference, but it has to make significant gains being it DOHC now.
and how much did you put out for it or find a head with the same bolt pattern as ours. and why not just have used the money on turboing it?

not saying you wouldnt kick my ***. but what I find funny is you say it's not worth it then you go "it pulls more than a turbo"
can I know how much you spent to vtec it? seriously. and what would be "worth it" turbo or vtec?
