Default Seafoaming Vid!

I decided to Seafoam my car when I had some downtown.

Cost me 6.99 at Autozone, mind you I could have saved $1 at Advanced but I didnt' want to drive out of my way to save a dollar. (Ain't that poor)

As per the instructions, I put around half in my gas tank, and the other half in my PCV valve that goes into the intake manifold. My dumbass took a while to learn which hose was giving the suction. Engine idled ugly and wanted to die but it took it and eventually started smoking. I killed the engine and let it sit for a good while, then took it for a spirited drive.

NOW,

The car pulls a lot nicer, SMOOTH acceleration...everything just feels wonderful. Absolutely better than the day I got it! I can only hope this condition stays like this. I would reccomend it for anyone. I changed out my sparks at the same time just to be safe.

So overall, with new spark plugs and 1 can...we're looking at around $15 bucks and the car runs BEAUTIFULLY!

RECOMMENDED +++

Here is a video of said seafoaming. I didn't get the part where I actually put it in, but you get the idea.

damn.

what mods do you have on your car? sounds real nice

and you havent responded to my message, leading me to a few theorys... one being you didnt vtec your car

EDIT: if you have a camera then surely you can get a vid (or something) of the engine bay showing the vtec swap. not to mention dyno numbers. I'm sure it brought about some good gains after seeing how it worked (did some research)

We don't have a dyno for like 200 miles around here.

Overall, it's really not worth it. Seafoaming is, for 8 bucks you can't beat it.

My Vtec doesnt kick in till around 8,000RPM's, and then it's really hard to control the car. I mean it just TAKES OFFFF. It's like the honda guys say. Vtec yo!

not to mention wouldnt you blow the engine at over 8000 in our cars? redline is at 7000 rpm

the nascar engines can barely go over that and sometimes they still blow...

untill I see hard evidence I remain skeptical. yes it SOUNDS like it might have vtec. but what you say hardly seems likely at all. and you say it doesnt make much of a difference, but it has to make significant gains being it DOHC now.

and how much did you put out for it or find a head with the same bolt pattern as ours. and why not just have used the money on turboing it?

Because Vtec gives a strong kick, and a much larger power band than any turbo does.

It took a long while to mod the head and get it all lined up, but it was really worth it.

Vtec does not have to kick in at 4500k...it kicks in whenever you want it to with a Vtec timer. You can set it from 3k-8k
