Okay, a couple of things. If I put a 3" exhaust system on my car (stock except a K&N Typhoon, and light stuff) what will happen?
I have a vague idea...like it'd help with performance, except low end...not sure, it's pretty hazy.
Has anyone done a full door handle delete? It looks so damn sexy I can't help myself. I wanted to know people's experience with after market alarm systems and power accessories, aaand if you could rig up a system to open doors with a remote...
As always, thanks for any help
P.S How do you get the control center facing off? The paint started peeling so I wanted to remove it so I could strip/repaint it

you just twist the 2 vents out. theres is a screw behind each of those vents, just take those out ...you also have to take off the ***** on the front, they just pop straight off...thats all...
3" is kinda big. I think you might actually lose power at that size.
If you shave your door than that adds a lot of weight too. so only do it if you are a show car and not performance.

i have a 3 inch on mine bit i put it on for my turbo but ive been riding with it for a few months now without the turbo on and honestly it gave me more power except low end i lost a little... if i floor it from a stop it takes about 1 sec for the pressure to build then i fly, but i was driving the other day in first at 2k rpm and floored it and actually spun the tires while i was moving and took off like a rocket.
3" of exhaust on a stock 420a neon engine???
OMGZ!!
lol. Seriously though, the 3" exhaust will completely ruin your torque curve. If your getting a new exhaust stick with your 2.25" tubin for best performance. Buy a full Borla or Magnaflow set-up if your sticking with a N/A build.
Here is my reasoning for anyone who questions why.

the curve right there tells you, essentially, when your exhaust tubing size becomes too small.
As you can see, our stock 2.25" tubing is great for our uses up to 200 bhp. Now, unless your doing a full engine rebuild, high compression cam and pistons, long tube header... everything to get that thing up to aroun 180whp I doubt you need 2.5" of exhaust.
Now, why you see people going out and buying a catback muffler and saying its a performance mod (kinda like myself), is because the stock 2.25 in. tubing becomes restricted at the muffler to 2.00 in. Buying a nice muffler will increase horsepower on the grounds that you now have a full 2.25" exhaust and a hugh-flowing muffler.
Its up to you on what you get. Depends on your setup.
I knew I was oing to turbo at some point, so I bought a cheap muffler to keep me going.

What if I remove the rear door handles and leave the front set on?
Freerider, since I plan on turbocharging, what should I do for exhaust at the moment?

Thats up to youunderdodge. I mean, I just decided not to spend the money on a nice exhaust and just need to replace it after the turbo. Its up to you really. I would do a muffler if nothing at all.
