Ebay CAI
I've been lookin for a cold air intake for my 2000 dodge neon but really dont want to pay $250 for an AEM one. I found this intake on ebay for $33. does anyone have one of these ebay CAI and if so, are they as good as the AEM? Heres the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-01...spagenameZWDVW
Well of course they aren't as good, but for a no-brand car part, they're pretty damn good for the money.
But I wouldn't suggest using their filter. Ever.
Edit: I use an ebay CAI and haven't had any problems.

I am sure the aem is made to a better quality. But you will be fine with the ebay intake. I would reccomend using trim lock where the pipe goes through the fenderwell. So the intake pipe does not rub against the metal causing it to to tear through the intake pipe. Also I would recommend just getting a K&N filter. I have a simular intake on mine that I got off of ebay also and it works great. I had to purchase a rubber gromet so the IAT sensor would fit into the intake tube with a good seal.
They are just as nice as the expensive ones only if you use a k&n intake filter though. I have had one in my sxt one of the 1st mods I ever did to her back in 04. Still have it and was going for a k&n intake but the filter is all the matters anyways so its a keeper .
whats the problem with the T304 stainless filter that comes with it? I would eventually replace it but would it be ok with the stainless one, or whould it be holding back too much power?
I got one of those CAIs from ebay with a K&N filter, had to drill a hole in it for the air sensor and seal up the hole for the air vent tube though. Works nicely after that. Although you will also find that you now have a big gaping hole where the air actually came into the car in front of the left wheel. I've temporarily covered this with a rubber mat that I tacked on as a splash guard until I can get a box fabricated. As for the rubbing of the pipe, I took a rubber vacuum hose and cut it to length, then slit it up the middle, makes a good cheap edge guard. Works great. Last bit of advice, get some clamps from nearby auto parts store, the ones that come with it suck!
