top speed
Maxed out my 2000 Dodge Neon ATX today. Got it up to 120 and the fuel cut-off.I know regular neons are supposed to cut fuel between 118 and 120, but since im considering selling my neon next year for a MTX, can some one answer me this. Does a Dodge Neon R/T have a fuel cutoff? If so what is it. It seems pretty pointless to me to give the r/ts a 140mph speedometer if it can only do 120. Anyone out there with a R/T they maxed out?

I would hit the limiter in 4th gear in my 03 MTX... i think i have a video in my sig. pre-turbo. sad how long it took lol

Lets see it! So I may laugh at your pre-turbo woe's.
I have wrapped my speedo to the odometer and flew by my friend in his jetta! My odometer says 140 and I was well past it and I don't have the comp reprogrammed or anything, I just got a cold air intake!

Im sure there is a way, but dodge techs set that as the cut off, because after that point things start to break.
I have a 2000 atx too, the first time I maxed it out, as soon as I let off the gas, I had my CEL come on and start flashing. Turned out, I effed up my plugs.
