Stock 2000 Neon ES ... Ready to mod..where to start?
ive got the exact same car, and about the same miles, 113k here now, bought it @ 99k 1 1/2 years ago now.
start off with replacing plugs & wires, that'll wake it up some. I have NGK iridium VII's i think.
then go to intake, and exhaust, as if you get the ebay stuff it's quite cheap, and if you want a bit more torque, get a highflow cat, which imo is basically a tes pipe/straight through pipe, because there's no catacomb crap in mine.
then, if you want even more, go to an upgraded camshaft and titanium valve springs & a 60mm TB and long tube header.
after that, i would go turbo, and open the exhaust to a full 2.5" or 3" and get a SFAC2, or buy up the one guy's AF/X Racing PCM.
After that, it's bigger turbo, more agressive tune, ported and polished head, new bottom end, bore and stroke the engine to 2.2l etc etc...
i think i could go on, but with my limited car knowledge, im sure i could pull off maybe 1/2 of the things i listed.
im currently happy with my Intake, plugs, wires, high-flow cat, and exhaust.
Im sure if i got some other performance thing put onto my car, i would get a ton of tickets.
Currently, my friend doesnt have a car anymore because he wrecked it messing around. so im taking things slow from now on for a while, till i get a SRT-4 or something, lol

. Why exactly are UDP bad in your opinion?
UDPs...I have heard some of the worst things about these but I don't know what to believe lol. The reason I think he said they are bad is because some people say that they destroy their altenators and etc. I don't know what to believe!!!
"some people say..." and "i've heard that they..." are not facts about UDP's though. Heres a fact, I've had an underdrive pulley installed on my R/T for almost two years and nver had any problems with my electrical system.
