Default exhaust tip

i was thinking on getting an exhuast tip for my neon. i would get a whole new exhuast system for it, but im still young (17)and i dont have money to afford it haha, my question is- would an exhaust tip give my car the rumbling sound that i hear from so many others?

If your wanting a decent dual exhaust thats on the cheap side and still looks and sounds good with a glasspack get a srt4 stock exhaust. I love mine but looking for a different setup.

Just an exhaust tip wont give you the sound that you are looking for. If you really want to have your exhaust sound the way you want it, save up and get a nice exhaust system. Getting a nice cat back system or different muffler is great in more ways than one. It will give you the sound that you are looking for and it will also increase your horse power, along with a couple other performance gains.

AutoZone has a great selection of exhaust tips that are also a great power adders. they add anywhere from 10-150hp. if you want to go the cheaper way, folgers cans work as well, but you wont see the same HP gains.

A 25' glasspack with either a straight tip or fart can will give you the sound you're looking for...

I posted some clips in my LTH thread, that might be the sound you're looking for since it's the best in the world and all.

Folgers cans are alright, but I prefer Maxwell House. You get a deeper rumble with those.

ok ill give you a serous answer. first off i would like to say that i am against them because its a waste of money that will add nothing at all, but i do like to see that you are interested in working on your car. my suggestion would be to save up money and get an exhaust. people will probably make fun of you for having a tip

but on to the real answer. some tips do actually change teh sound of the exhaust. in my opinion not for the best, but the ones that do have a sort of metal mesh on the inside.
