13-14 sec neon...ya ur gonna need the turbo setup....srt swap or hahn turbo kit....if your doing the hahn setup u mite want to build up the bottom end of ur motor.....modernperformance.com might be ur new best friend.... but to be honest the best thing to do is trade or sell ur neon for an srt 4

save your money on the header if you're going to go turbo

I mentioned once in another thread like this.... buy the megasquirt and the turbo first. Then do the other things later. Get the most bang for your buck that way.
You can probably hit 13's on a stock motor with just a turbo kit with around 225whp. I say probably because the ATX might slow you down a bit.
I say the first things you should do, assuming you are keeping it automatic,is:
beef up the tranny
turbo kit
mega-squirt
If you want faster than high 13's then i suggest you build the bottom end then add the other things you mentioned in your post.

I've heard the 03+ trannys are geared better than the 02's...but in terms up beefing them up, I think aside from a rebuild kit and tranny cooler, there isn't much you can do for them. Correct me if i'm wrong. I wish my transmission was a bit stronger.

That was my thoughts exactly while reading his post... no need to spend money on something that is gonna be useless to you when you go turbo.

If you really want to go faster, you need to buy a plethra of things. A turbo, just like anything else, will only work as well as the parts are in the system.
If you put a turbo on your SXT... some critical things you might want to look into right away:
Rebuild the engine with new parts:
Low Comp Pistons, Rods
Port n' Polish
Rebuild the bottom end
I would look into getting pistons and rods, and a good Port n' Polish first. Then get a few things like a CAI and a good exhaust.
Running Mega-squirt is a very.... very tedious process. If you have the time and understand the program to program and use it and dial it in right, it is a POWERFUL unit. Amazing thing mega-squirt is. I recommend looking into it for any turbo build... not just on an ATX.
After that I would rebuild the bottom end.
Turbo grind cam, cam gear... so many things you can do to make that turbo run better.

You can (i think) buy the automatic valve bodies and (definately) the Overhaul kit off of Modernperformance.com .

I've installed plenty of turbo kits on atx Neons. The stock atx typically lasts about one week at this power level before the clutch packs get melted. This didn't just happen on one car, but EVERY Neon with a stock atx that I installed a turbo kit on. It's usually when you make the shift from 2nd to 3rd gear at full power. On a mtx Neon, the tranny usually survives forever as long as the diff has the tabs installed and you don't run big slicks at a drag strip on the stock clutch.
If anyone wants to turbo their atx Neon, I'd highly suggest upgrading the tranny with some stronger internals, and I don't mean a "shift kit".
