i get revved at all da time, if its a honda or a mustang, it never stops but its funny.

I figured out a little trick about acceleration in an automatic. I noticed that if you gradualy open your throttle while you are accelerating, you will go thru the gear a lot faster than just opening it wide open and holding it there. This best works in second and third. Especially in third. In third you can get yo hit a redline everytime.
I practiced for a while and then when a Nissan Altima (v6) messed with me (ok a friend of mine, just for kicks) I did it and beat him by half of carlength. I did my thing, and he had his to the floor. Plus it shifted so fast, no lag at all. it was sick, it was nice. Make sure you are on a flat road too. I think that having the throttle open up in the ratio of the increasing RPM doesnt bog it down like Wide opne throttle. Try this out guys and see what happens. give me your feedback.

 

On that srt8 think I will get me one of them next yr for my next ride being a really fast auto and all beats the caliber srt4 anyday being a stick.

 

Yeah but for the 40 g's your going to spend on the srt8 imagine what you could build spending half that on a neon! As for the automatic issue I have never been a fan of automatics I have always driven a 5 speed. When I first moved to the town I live in now everyone was always trying to race me and they would get there asses whooped. Now it's like everyone knows the car even going threw the changes Iam making and they still wont mess with me. But it's all good though because at 3.25 a gallon it's cheaper to cruise threw town then it is to take someone out to the strip and race em!!

 

Id rather get the srt8 I already have 2 neons .

 

The transmission has nothing to do with why a stock SRT-8 Charger could beat a stock SRT-4 Caliber...

 

are you sure? I don't think 150+ hp difference has much to do with it...

 

I know why casue a srt8 has more hp than any srt4 . I was just saying for an auto srt8 is a killer of a ride .

 

atx vs. mtx being more fun or not is kind of an opinion. I have never driven a ATX besides a mini van and a casual drive in a cobalt. So I can't really talk lol. But what airwolf said about any car can go fast with money+mods..is pretty accurate. One of the mods you kinda need is an MTX to go faster though. I mean...its a proven fact that they produce more HP. Nothing against them though. Some of the fastest neons I have seen on the 1/4 mile are autos just for the fact that they quickly shift.
