i ended up buying the pillar covers to solve my complaint, plus a few other items. very fast responses to email, and even gave me a partial refund after we discovered a discrepancy in pricing. the link to the pieces they have for neons is right here

 

for the rainbow look on the pillars, i have it on mine too.. and my friend's pt cruiser has it also.. and for the black rubber, my dad's friend has an all black mercury marauder (sp?) and he told me that the back to black works great, specially when you wax your ride and get wax on the flat black stuff..
