I WOULD TALK TO THE GUYS AT HAHN FOR THE FACT THAT THEY WOULD KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD NEED TO DO TRANNY WISE SEEING AS HOW THEY HAVE A 1ST GEN BOOSTED RUNNING 11'S I THINK WITH AN AUTO TRANNY IN IT. AS FOR RUNNING A STAGE II AND REBUILDING THE MOTOR, GO AHEAD AND REPLACE THE PISTONS AND RODS. JE PISTON'S MAKES A 88.5 MM DOME TOP PISTION THAT BUMPS UP COMPRESSION AND WITH THE EAGLE H-BEAM CONNECTING RODS YO WILL BE AB;E TO RUNN MORE BOOST ON TRACK DAY. AND IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GO ALL OUT THERE IS A PLACE YOU CAN SEND YOUR HEAD TO HAVE IT FULLY BUILT WITH SOME SERIOUS MODS AND INTERNALS RANGING FROM ABOUT A G TO ABOUT 3 G'S. BUT EITHER WHICH WAY RUNNING BOOST ON A 2.0 HEAD ISN'T GOING TO REALLY LAST. ALSO HAVING A BOOSTED CAR AND WANTING TO SEE WHAT IT CAN DO IS GOING TO GET THE BEST OF YOU MORELESS IF ANYONE WAS IN THE SAME SITUATION THEY WOULD PROBAB;Y GET INTO IT TO I KNOW I WOULD. MY HONEST SUGGESTION IS TO TAKE YOUR TIME AND BUILD THE MOTOR WITH PISTONS AND CONNECTING RODS, ALONG WITH A MILD CAM AND SOME GOOD HEAD WORK. BECAUSE ALL IN ALL YOU SPEND 3500 ON THE TURBO KIT YOUR GOING TO WANT YOUR MOTOR TO LAST SO YOU CAN ENJOY THE BOOST AND THE LOOKS YOU GET WHEN YOU CRUISE DOWN THE STRIP AND THAT BOF GOES OF IN A MUSTANGES EAR! SO DO IT RIGHT AND SPEND ABOUT6 G'S ALL TOTAL WITH THE TURBO KIT AND BUILD YOUR MOTOR TO LAST.

if you're going to spend 6k on all that just swap for a SRT4 motor, they're made to take the strain of the turbo and you will be happier in the long run

Simple way to find out...if your Neon is indeed a 2000 like it states in your signature, then you have a 3-speed automatic.

I've been running a turbo on my automatic 2000 neon for about six plus months. No problems yet
what's your set-up/power/boost levels... If you over 200whp you must drive like my grandma. I've seen tons of un-modded ATXs crap out once you cross or get close to the 200 range.
