Considering the SRT-10 has 510 hp and the new SRT-10 has 600 hp. Yeah, 400 hp isn't that much. Compare those models and the word "only" becomes obvious.[/align][/align]The Neon is a lot lighter. If the Viper met that Neon on a track that wasn't just straight, the Neon owner would be left in the dust. Big difference in those cars.[/align]

.The neon also handles better, so I do think it would win a road race as well

I agree with the road course track, that SRT-4 would be toast. For one i know the owner and her car is set-up for drag and today is probably close to the 600p mark. go to www.srtgurl.com
Another thing is take a look, a real good look at that race... Jean's car gets almost a four car lead from the start, then the viper just reals her in and loses by a tenth. Yes its a 1/4 mile track but if that track was any longer the neon would have toast.

Agreed Graphite.[/align][/align]FWD would not help the Neon on a road course and I'm pretty sure that with the way each car is built, brakes, suspension etc, the Viper would out handle the Neon. [/align][/align]No hate for the Neon, hell I drive one. But the Neon would win in the 1/4 mile and that's it. I wonder what the outcome would have been, had the Viper launched better...............[/align]
