2nd vid is the gauge self test, also runs when you hold the trip button while keying the car to run, it usually happens when battery is low also. Definately an electrical problem, I would lean toward a bad ground ("then i slow down to stop, the stereo turns of untill i get back on the gas,"), but definately get the alternator checked out as it could be a field generator problem as well, where it would put out correct voltage at higher rpms only.

ok before i go out tonight and buy an alt.....
when i dissconnect the battery when the car is running, should it die? anyways it does, and if i remember correctly that means the alt. is dead....

but then why does the car still start time after time? Its like the alternator is charging a little bit but not enough.....

could be only putting out sufficent power to sustain a charge, when it sits that charge can build slightly enough to start it

yeah, with the field generator problem in some cases it will still charge when the engine is revved, but dosen't have any output at idle.

Yeah it has always done that....

anyways i just put the new alternator in and still the same problems...... leaving to parts place to have the old one tested and pick up a new battery...
I put a voltmeter on it and the gauge goes between 9-15 volts when the car is running, (pulses with the lights)when i shut it off, its at about 8...... so i think it was just a battery, well see the damn thing is only 7 mths old................

JUST A FUC*ING BATTERY!!!! so yeah i took the old alt in and it was putting out just below were is should but it passed, so i got a battery, and now its good to go!! YEAH! $200 later.......

fixed all the problems i have been having, the car was ******* of the line, was really slow to shift and when you put it into gear it took about 3-4 sec. to go in..... now its good as new!!! Its amazing what a good battery can do!!!
