How much HP could I expect?
Before we get into it I want to state that I KNOW that I'd need to get a better head and have work done to it, I KNOW that I should run a 2.5" exhaust pipe and I KNOW that a Turbo would be my best bet BUT just for ****s and grins lets all play along, Ok.
How many HP could I expect if I took my stock '05 2.0L and added a mild cam, header, intake and 60mm TB? I already have a drop in K&N and have taken out the resenator so it'll breath better and I've added a FlowMaster 50 Delta with a nice tip to the exhaust but I'm still running the 2.25" pipe because it was in great shape and I didn't feel like spending an extra $100 bucks(so sue me, I'm a cheap bastard, LOL) but with the above add-ons how many horse could I expect. Thanks in advance for putting up with me.

LOL, stock is suppose to be 132HP, so I'll get LESS. God I wish I had my 350 Rocket Cutlass. [&o]

Sad, I know. But they're pretty cool for everything else.

before i went turbo, i made 119whp / 126wtq with CAI, Intake, Underdrive Pully, exhaust manifold, and free flow glasspack. By adding a CAM and TB i would expect you to get any more than 129whp / 136wtq (just added 10 on each of mine) and you'd be lucky to see that.
i know you don't want to hear it in this thread, but with the 200hp you'd like to see you are better off picking up hahn kit and running 5-8psi (16g) on the stock motor. You should see anywhere from 180-200 to the wheels safely.

Looks like a turbo would be the best way to go then. It'd probably work ok with stock cam but I would like to get a larger TB and aluminium intake(unless it comes with the kit) and get rid of that plastic monstrosity. Would the turbo work with the 2.25" pipe or would I need to go 2.5"? Seems like the 2.5" would be the way to go since the SRT4's have em'. Anyway, thanks for the help. Talk to ya'll later.
P.S.
My Main Goal is to beat those 9.5 sec. in the 1/8th mile Mustangs that I see at the track. I'm sure with a little work I can get the Neon to go better then 9.5 sec in the 1/8th.

The money you would dump into a 2.0L to turbo it safely you could just swap a SRT4 engine into it
rough numbers
2000 or so for a hahn
1000 or more for a bottom end build up kit
500 or so for a top end build up kit
250-400 for a cam and springs
300-500 for the ECU
Optional but recomended:
60mm tb 250-400
RT intake 100-400
RT head 200-500
SRT4 swap done by SRT4 store 5.5K for everything for the swap, plus the swap completed by someone who knows what they're doing. turn key service to make sure everything runs right and a free upgrade and hotel stay in town. before you go bashing SRT4store know what happened. k, thanks
you will get more power, more reliability. and will be happier in the end
it's safer to swap then build up the 2.0 because the srt is made for the turbo
anything else I am forgetting
