well i recently did an oil change and now my car leaks oil through da oil drain plug. i then got a new plug which was bigger, and made a new thread for it and it still leaks. do i need a new oil pan? i hope not but wat u think?

sounds like the pan bolt (plug) isnt fitting good enough.......

i take it that you re tapped it??? first you did take the pan off to do that right???????? metal shreadsin your oli = BAD! But sounds like you might need a new pan, re tapping (rethreading) aluminum is not the easyis thing to do, it has to be perfectly lined up. unless you use a much bigger bolt, and our pans (with the honeycome like texture cant really take a bigger bolt.....

i did use a much bigger bolt. but oil leak isnt as big.
