ya thats what i was telling my friend. If i do get it, I pretty much won't be able to do anything, I know i can make the payments, and freerider, thats exactly what i was planning on doing to save money on insurance (not sure where that guy got that deal about credit score affecting insurance rates). But after all the payments will be said and done for the month, I won't be able to go out or mod the damn thing, not that I will need to though as it is pretty modded. It is a hell of a deal i think but, in all reality, I don't want to be broke. I'm only 20, and being in about 10k in debt sounds like it would suck BBBAAADDD.

so all in all, I think i can do it, I'm pretty sure I can, but more than likely would be extremely poor! lol So, I guess i will just pass up on it, once I'm out of school and into my career I'm sure I'll be able to get something even better! Besides, I'm only 20 and have a bunch of cool stuff and a pretty nice car already so I am just going to stay humble with what I have.

I will continue to mod my car but buying the SRT seems a bit far fetched. Sucks but thats reality i guess.

 

I think you made a wise choice. I was looking at a newer M3 when i moved here. Yes, i could afford it but why... Instead i bought the neon cash and loving not having a car payment anymore. Best of all i got an extra $1000 in my pocket every month.

 

IF you've already got some mods on your '03 then I'd just hang onto it, take care of it and once you're out of school and get a decent job you'll be able to do an SRT engine swap into your exsisting car. That way you can get the car you have ready with all the little suppension and interior/exterior goodies and then put the power in it when you can afford to.

 

thats an excellent way of putting it. just because I would be able to do it, doesn't mean it would be pretty lol. I'll save my money for other things and mods for my car. I have to buy a new phone because some ******* just stole mine. SO IF ANYONE HERE HAS A PRETTY COOL T-MOBILE PHONE THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SELL, LET ME KNOW!!!

yeah, i've gotta agree... as badly as i wanted an srt i'll say don't do it if it means getting deeper into debt. Since you already had a neon just baby that one until you crash it or it died... and needed a new car then get a car. but then that's just me... good luck!

 

yeah I would just do the turbo swap way cheaper in the long run and you feel way better doing your turbo swap . You have a nice neon so just keep that and save for a better ride than just a used srt4.
