Default Damn Cam Position Sensor

Iam so damn tired of this sensor, so far this year I have replaced it two or three times. I do not know if it might have anything to do with my rear main seal leaking, but I don't think it would because I have been dealing with the oil consumption. If anyone knows what could be causeing this Damn cam sensor to keep going out let me know because Iam going crazy dealing with this thing. Moreless if someone has a 2.4 they want to sell that would be even better because I'm going nut's!

Just a stab in the dark but could there be a short somewhere along the wiring that making it go out?

Yea, something is up if the sensor is constantly going bad.

That SHOULD NOT happen. Check all the wiring for shorts, check the wiring to see if anything is not right. All I can say.

the cam sensor is above the trans
Do you have a valve cover leak?
the plug at the end of thehead or PCV leaking?

Also - the rear main seal is not too hard to replace
Drop the starter, axle shafts, transmission and fly wheel
I did mine as my rear main leaked badly
everything is 100% dry now - way worth it for no leaks

Yeah it might have been alot easier for you to do it but in order for me to get my car off of the ground I have to do alot of work and to get the much room I will have to pull off my front bumper and side skirts because with a full body kit and my car being lowered I can not get a floor jack under neath it so I have to find a lift that I can creep up on some boards to raise it up.
