Got my BLACK mopar lip kit sides in today! they're the right color!! unlike my front and rear...

one problem... They don't have the upper mounting plates! WTF? for those who have installed one of these you know what I'm talking about. for those who dont...

there's a plate that screws to the rocker pannel that a lip slides into to hold the top in place. I forget what this is called. something like a locking lip or something. but what ever it's called I didnt get them!

dealer was called and he is now shipping the brakets off.

I dont know what the F*ck is going on with this kit! it's the mopar lip kit from hell!!

 

Hope mines not the same way as yours Im getting mine from the same guy as you did. Also getting a new rear bumper put on at my dealer next week.

 

Nice. this is what happened...

Dealer #1: front and rear: Came in red, inventory error, other kit was red too. he ordered black one from DCX and I will get them ASAP.

Dealer #2: Sides: problem described above opened up another kit and will ship me the brackets from them (unless he opened the box to check the sides and never put the brakets back)

 

thats crazy man. When i got my sides it was all together in one box.

 

either the guy checked the box and forgot to put them back in or it was a packing mistake from the factory

 

I used double sided tape on my side skirts.

Has held up fine.

 

I still want to do it right

 

I think this is what happens when items like this are clearanced out... they are trying to get rid of the stuff and don't care....

..only thing missing in my kit, ..front, sides and rear... was the plastic bag with all the screws and instructions from the front lip.... had to print the instructions from the internet, here, I think...and used the screws/bolts from the rear lip....haven't messed with the rear yet, may not put it on at all, but now I'm short screws/bolts
