so if u get pull over and acused for street racing, i know they supposed to take u to jail, but they only leave u there for like a day or so then u gotto go to court and all and they may suspend ur drivers license so anyone ever expirience anything like that or known anyone, what would the period of time they could suspend ur license for?

It really depends on the law in the state that you live... Back when I was in MA it was just a $500 ticket, after 3 you lost your license. It could be different now. Here in Hawaii, you don’t even have to be racing. 30 mph over the speed limit or over 80mph you go to jail for a day and pay a fine. Fines and jail time increase up to the 3rd time then you lose your license.

Got busted for Drag Racing on Central Ave. in Phoenix, AZ. back in the early 80's. Got an instant 8 points, suppended lic. for 6 months. I did get a limited lic. so I could go to College and work but that was it. It really sucked.

"Back in the Day" we used to have Midnight Drags out at 109th Ave and Camelback Rd. Nothing but farm land out there, no cops, no houses, just a two lane road and a lot of dark. LOL. Guess that was kind of the "not get caught" part. Central was a lot more fun though, lots more women, cars and places to eat. I wonder if they even still crusie Central Ave anymore?

i guess the $500 ticket is still in place in MA. this was just posted today on my forum...
well tonight i was given a 500 "drag racing" ticket in fall river. it started when i was driving thru fall river killing some time when a vw came from behind me switching lanes and pulling ahead of me in the other lane. maybe 3 seconds later we where at stop light and a cop pulled betwen us and told us to pull over. the cop followed the vw down the side street and pulled him over while i waited in a parking lot. someone in an eclipse pulled up to me and said the cop didnt get the plates and suggested i leave. so i did against my better judgment and proceeded to fairhaven. i got a call from my parenst saying the westport police where at my house and that if i didnt go to the station i would be arested. i went to the fallriver station and talked to the officer that pulled me over and he told me i should get arested but i came in without a hassle so he would let that slide. he was really unhappy about me leaving but i told him some random person that saw it happen came up to me and told me i wasnt the one being pulled over so i left and the cop continued and told me i was drag racing when i clearly didnt go over the speed limit or even attempt to race we where side by side the vw pulled up a little then we came to the stop light when this all unfolded so i am going to attemp to fight it and hope to get it dropped or eliminated. all feed back would be great maybe some advise what to do. i know i didnt do the right thing so please dont harrase me about that but if you have anything good or helpful please let me know thank you and enjoy a good laugh.
