Droping my car. Need your HELP
i'm planing to drop my car 1 1/2 in. is that going to be too low? is it going to scratch the bottom when i go over bumps and curves? ohh and isinstalling it hard?do any of you have suggestion on wich type of springs i should get? i want something that is good quaulity but not that expensive. it would be great if you guys could help me out. thanks
I want to do the same thing, but with a 2" drop. I've never done it myself, but I know that you'll need to rent a spring compressor, unless you have one, and some other tools to do it. Pepboys can do it for you too if you'd rather not do it yourself. Personally I want to go for a set of Eibach springs, which I've seen for around 250.
2" drop is too much, trust me i have that and its not a pretty sight sometimes. I even cracked my bumper coming out ofa parking lot yesterday. I would like to have stock back
,I don't like the look of stock but the ride is a lot better. I am thinking that a 1.5 drop would be better.
its a pain in the *** to install if its your first timeand especially if you are without air tools/impact wrench.
i sat here and read all these posts about it only taking maybe 6 hours, 2 hours for the 1st one until u get the hang of it. then 4 hrs for the other 3.
bull ****! i started at 9Am and didnt finish til 7-8pm. maybe an hour was spent going back/forth toautozone cause i didnt have all the tools. (make sure if u dont have access to an impact wrench you have the special little "wrench-extender-sparkplug socket-monkey wrench-socket setup" or w/e it was)
one of the most hardest (exhausting) things i've ever had to install on my car.
NEVER AGAIN!![:@]lol
.....just my 2 cents

i have a 1.5" drop...rides kinda rough at first until u get used to it, but thats expected when u give up comfort for handling.
I have tokico blue struts with kazera springs...i dont beileve they make kazera springs anymore so ive heard Eibach are good.
I also agree 2" would be too big of a drop especially if its your everyday car.
1.5" was just right for me.
