How would you go about painting an aluminum emblem for front bumper, actually wha I mean is what kind of paint should I use or wha can I use to clear coat it, I just wanna put a black background to it.

I'm pretty sure this is not what you want, ...but..

another idea is to take some black (or whatever color dark paint)..and brush or sponge it on so it fills up all the recessed lines of the insignia, then before it can dry, wipe it off just the main part with a paper towel or clean rag, and you will end up with just the dark color in all the recessed lines

I would just get model car black and nicely paint the backgound with a small paint brush and get some model clear coat and wait till it drys and paint over the black . Ive heard this works pretty nicely.
